Review: The Mistress by Tiffany Reisz

( The Original Sinners #4 )

blurb:

The final book in The Original Sinners Series - The Red Years.

There's punishment-and then there's vengeance.

Nora Sutherlin is being held, bound and naked. Under different circumstances, she would enjoy the situation immensely, but her captor isn't interested in play. Or pity.

As the reality of her impending peril unfolds, Nora becomes Scheherazade, buying each hour of her life with stories-sensual tales of Søren, Kingsley and Wesley, each of whom has tempted and tested and tortured her in his own way. This, Nora realizes, is her life: nothing so simple, so vanilla, as a mere love triangle for her. It's a knot in a silken cord, a tangled mass of longings of the body and the heart and the mind. And it may unravel at any moment.

But in Nora's world, no one is ever truly powerless-a cadre of her friends, protectors and lovers stands ready to do anything to save her, even when the only certainty seems to be sacrifice and heartbreak....

Have you ever loved someone so much, that you could die for him, her?

And have you ever loved someone so badly that you could live for them?
Fight for that love?

I can proudly say that I did, and still do! We fight everyday.

That's why this book felt so close to my heart, I was bawling my eyes out every 15 pages or so.

This was beautiful! The love in this book is BEAUTIFUL! And it's more then that - it's amazing, bewildering both breathtaking and thrilling!
I'd like to believe that love like this exist not only in novels, I'd like to believe that I have it, too.

'The Mistress' left me feeling...
I just keep feeling! Something.. EVERYTHING!

I went through so much with this read. I was furious and angry, I was sad and happy, I was crying and I was laughing! But the joy I felt in the end overpowered everything else!

This was a story of people who have lost and found one another, who've left an imprint deep inside of me.
I always cherish the most those books, that made me feel the strongest emotions and deepest feelings. 'Cause I know that I'll always find friends in them, whenever I need it.

Nora Sutherlin will tell you a story, and You will listen. And if you do, you'll find the biggest joy in life, in the world!
Do you know what's that?

It's Love...

Peace,
Mistress A.

The Siren by Tiffany Reisz

The Original Sinners  # 1

Notorious Nora Sutherlin is famous for her delicious works of erotica, each one more popular with readers than the last. But her latest manuscript is different—more serious, more personal—and she's sure it'll be her breakout book...if it ever sees the light of day.

Zachary Easton holds Nora's fate in his well-manicured hands. The demanding British editor agrees to handle the book on one condition: he wants complete control. Nora must rewrite the entire novel to his exacting standards—in six weeks—or it's no deal.

Nora's grueling writing sessions with Zach are draining…and shockingly arousing. And a dangerous former lover has her wondering which is more torturous—staying away from him...or returning to his bed?

Nora thought she knew everything about being pushed to your limits. But in a world where passion is pain, nothing is ever that simple.

" Show,
Don't tell. "

5 amazing stars!!!!

When I first read the blurb, or maybe it was the second time? Don't remember, but I thought that wow, this will do! This story is what I need right now.
I imagined that Zack will be this hardcore, dom type editor who'll kick Nora's ass, figuratively speaking :))
And Nora will be this submissive, brilliant woman with defiance in her eyes! Our regular BDSM. After long power struggle they'll finally settle down and live happily ever after.. I could have not been more wrong!

This story is nothing I've ever expected. And It's not a romance story either, so don't fool yourself with hopes of happy endings.

This is a horror story if anything and I think the 'author' IN this book would agree with me.

Here.. the person who loves you don't bring you flowers, no.. He beats you. Among other things..

That said, I wasn't disappointed with this book. Quite the contrary, I loved it! It's emotional, raw, true to the core. Full of desires and hurt and pain and love. Yes love.
But it's not a romance.
It's a horror story!

This was unexpectedly very enjoyable read!

It deserves 4 Strong Stars!

I don't even know what I was expecting from this book.
But every time I see kinky now, I tend to think about some dark BDSM.
But in this case it wasn't that. It didn't have that dark feeling you usually get when reading kinky unspeakable stories.

It was light with great humor tossed in for a good measure!
I was devouring it, and it was fun for me to see how other people tend to deal with problems in their marriage. And unexpected was the outcome!
I rarely read books that includes already married couples, I find it somewhat boring. I love the chase and the anticipation of what to come when people meet and feel the attraction towards each other. The sex and other stuff are usually just a bonus for me. Especially if it's well written.
I like the fighting and arguing, that feel of uncertainty. That kind of book definitely for me.
But start a book with already married couple.. where you almost guess that the main thing in it will be someone cheating ... Thanks, but no thanks..

So this book was a big surprise for me! They're married and You can still feel the heat, but also some uncertainty!
Absolutely loved it!

Although I'm not sure how would have I reacted to some actions that occurred throughout this book, but I guess we're all different and need different 'treatment' when we do a bad bad thing LOL

But I liked the way author described every important move and action, seriously! I almost could imagine feeling it myself!

So If you like light kinky stories this is a definite TO READ book for You!

Peace
